You'd Never Know.

Yesterday, as many of us Australian residents know,
Sydney Swans won the AFL premiership.
Like many Hawthorn Hawks supporters,
Many Victorians must've been disappointed by the loss of Hawks.
I was.
Because, AFL is predominantly Victorian,
Which started as Victorian Football League and,
Then gradually spread Australia-wide.

I know, it's not the first time a non-Victorian team won the premiership,
Indeed, many non-Victorian teams have won the flag
(Swans indeed won 5 premierships including this one).
But many people believed that this was to be the Hawks's season.
No it wasn't meant to be.

Australia, however, had another major sporting event today.
It's NRL (National Rugby League) which you could call, a predominantly NSW sport.

Now, here's the irony.
This year the team which won the NRL premiership was,
Melbourne Storm.
Until yesterday, I didn't even know the existence of this team.

Such a team, Melbourne Storm, today made me feel so proud to be a Melbournian.

You'd never know, the premiership win of the one and only Melbourne NRL team could popularize this predominantly NSW sport in Melbourne.

Cheers to Melbourne Storm!
