Weekend whinging and whistling.

There’s this thing that annoys me when I want to burn Japanese video-clips or songs to CD/DVD. It’s that Japanese language isn’t recognised by NERO.
I downloaded whole heaps of songs and videos last night and somehow managed to burn them using the software called CD Burner XP. Excellent, I thought at that time – I said AT THAT TIME so you'd already know the word that comes next; "however". The DVD I burned didn’t play back on my DVD player. I speculate that the program managed to burn the files as they are and unfortunately those video-clips can’t be played back because there’s something in those files that my DVD player doesn’t recognise or isn’t compatible with.
Even the CDs I played back skipped and froze a few times.
I should’ve bought NERO Japanese edition so that there wouldn’t have been any such issue.

日本のビデオクリップとか音楽をCDやDVDに落とすとき、いつもむかつく事があるのね。っていうのは、NEROが日本語を認識しないって事。
昨日の夜、日本語のビデオと音楽いっぱいダウンロードして、CD Burner XP とかいうソフトを使って何とか成功するにいたったわけ。やったね！とその時は思ったワケ。その時は、って言ったからわかるよね。焼いたDVDはウチのDVDプレイヤーでは見られなかったの。
想像するには、このプログラムはファイルをあるがままDVDに落とした為に、残念な事にその中にDVDプレイヤーが認識しないものか、互換性のないものがあったんじゃないかと。
CDでさえ、とんじゃったり、かたまったりって事が何度かあったし。
多分、ワタシはNEROの日本語版を買うべきだったんだね。それならそんな問題は最初っから無かったはずだから。

I bet you anything that all those software companies deliberately make their products imperfect or incomplete so that leaves us consumers no choice but to purchase additional tools or products to suffice for our needs!

ソフト会社って絶対わざと商品を不完全か不完璧に作って、消費者が仕方ないから必要に応じて付加ツールとか商品とかを買うしかないようにしているんだと思う！

I guess I will rather just play them back on the PC and burn CD/DVD just to backup the data.

ワタシは多分ね、CDやDVDはパソコン上で再生して、焼くのはバックアップの時だけにすると思う。

It’s a nice warm day today, perfect for the AFL Grand Final replay, which indeed my husband is watching right now. He’s backing Collingwood (just for the grand final) and I can hear him cheering and yeah-ing in the lounge so I suppose Collingwood’s in front at this moment. (or aren’t they? I might go in and check.) Yes, they are.

今日は暖かくていい天気。AFLの決勝戦再試合にはうってつけだね－って実はウチのダンナ様リビングで今見てる。コリングウッド側応援してる（決勝戦の時だけ）んだけど、応援の声や「やったー」ってな声が聞こえてくるから今のところコリングウッドが勝ってるんだと思う。（どうだろう？ちょっと行って確認してみるか。）うん。勝ってる。

It’s only in the first quarter now and you’d never know if St. Kilda will bounce back. They did last week. Collingwood was dominating the first two quarters of the last game until when St. Kilda turned the game around and nearly snatched the win. Whew!

まだ試合の１回だし、セイントキルダが持ち直してくるかわかんない。
先週はそうだった。２回の終わりまでコリングウッドが試合を独占してた。それからセイントキルダがゲームをひっくり返して、もう少しで勝利を取り上げるまでは。ヒューっ！

It’s interesting to see how the game will pan out.

試合がどうなるか、楽しみだね。
